The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its order on interim bail plea of Sahara Chief Subrata Roy who pleaded to the court to show 'raham' (mercy) and allow him to come out of jail to sell off his properties to deposit Rs 10,000 crore (Rs 100 billion) with SEBI as directed to get regular bail.

Sahara India needs to pay back $5.3 billion, raised from millions of small investors through the sale of bonds ruled by the Supreme Court to be illegal, before founder Subrata Roy can be released.
Sahara group claims that it has directly paid back most of the investors and the total outstanding liability is less than Rs 5,120 crore (Rs 51.2 billion) already given to Sebi towards refund.
The permission came after the court was satisfied that the transactions were in accordance with its June 4 order.
More properties are expected to go under the hammer in the coming days.
The appearance on June 10, however, will be through recorded video clippings.
Senior advocate C A Sundaram, appearing for Roy, submitted that his client has some business overseas and he is needed there.
The court will hear Sahara case on July 14.
The hearing was adjourned to March 25.

Holding that it was playing "hide and seek" and cannot be trusted any more, the Supreme Court on Monday directed the Sahara group to hand over title deeds of its properties worth Rs 20,000 crore (Rs 200 billion) to SEBI warning that failure to comply would mean Subrata Roy cannot leave India.
The group also lauded 'Sebi's active cooperation' in the matter.
